Big Give Christmas Challenge Week 2022

What a week we have had at Swansea Community Farm. And when we say 'community', we really mean it. The amazing local community of Swansea came out in force this week to support us with our Big Give Christmas Challenge and we want to say a huge THANK YOU!

What is the Big Give Christmas Challenge?

In case you missed our posts over social media (and there have been quite a few), the Big Give Christmas Challenge is a fundraising campaign organised by the Big Give. Our aim was to raise our target amount of £4000 through donations in just one week! Not only that, but for every pound donated during the campaign week, it was match funded by the Big Give and DOUBLED, giving us the opportunity to raise £8000, all towards our #FundsForFodder appeal to help feed our superstar animals and keep our amazing volunteer project thriving throughout 2023.

Did we make it?

YES, WE DID! Not only did we raise the £8000 we were aiming for but made it to £8010. And with added Gift Aid, the grand total is £8445! What an amount to raise in just one week! Through kind online donations, Pledges from local supporters and an absolutely fantastic Festive Family Farm Day event, we have been completely overwhelmed by the support we have received. Our volunteers and staff have also joined in the fun taking part in our super fun animal selfie competition! Santa even popped in to visit with some of the local children and wish us well.
