What's been happening at the Farm!
Hello Farm Friends! Spring has sprung, the lambs have arrived, the chicks are hatching and things are getting busy. There has been lots going on and even more great things coming up so we thought it was about time we gave you a round up.
Bioblitz
We had a fantastic time at our Bioblitz on Saturday 14th May, welcoming over 220 people to the Farm and Cadle Heath Nature Reserve. We are teamed up with South East Wales Biodiversity Records Centre (SEWBRec) to discover the wonderful wildlife of the Reserve (which many don’t know is right on our doorstep)! There were wildlife walks, guided talks and an evening bat walk. It was lovely to see so many of the local community excited to learn and discover the wonderful nature that surrounds us right in the heart of Swansea.
One of our partners Pobl have put together a lovely video of the day which you can watch on their Facebook Page: https://fb.watch/dfc3cj_fA7/
Joe Wicks Paid us a Visit!
We recently received a visit from the Bodycoach himself, Joe Wicks! Joe is an ambassador for Children in Need and he spent the afternoon chatting with Senior Child and Youth worker Cerys all about our Saturday Farm Clwb project, which is made possible by funding from Children In Need.
You can see the full interview on the Children in need social media channels:

Catch us on S4C
On 22nd April, our Saturday Farm Clwb project was featured on S4C'S Garddio a Mwy. Some of our young volunteers chat about what the farm means to them.
Sêr S4C
Roedd pobl ifanc o’m Prosiect Plant a Phobl ifanc yn sêr ar sioe S4C Garddio a Mwy yn trafod beth mae dod i'r fferm a gweithio ar dyfu bwyd yn meddwl iddyn nhw.
New Defibrillator
We have great news! Two of our talented volunteers have recently installed a defibrillator at the Farm, which is an excellent community asset should anyone need to use it. It is located directly at the front of the main entrance and can be accessed by dialling 999 in an emergency and following the instructions on the box.
This was made possible by funding from Third Sector Resilience Fund for Wales Phase 2 Scheme, administered by WCVA. Diolch.
Farm Meat and Produce for Sale
Don't forget that whilst you are visiting us at the Farm, you can pick up a selection of organic meat on sale. We don't currently have any farm honey available but we do have our brand new freezers stocked with: Pork and Lamb products including bacon, sausages, mince and joints. We also now accept card payments and donations (please see a member of staff for details).
